Frequently Asked Questions

Q – What is the difference between Counselling and Psychotherapy?
A – Counselling is generally short-term, focused on solving a particular problem or providing support during a difficult time (e.g., "I want help managing my anxiety").
Psychotherapy is typically more long-term, involving deeper work to change aspects of our coping mechanisms, personality, self-beliefs, or ways of being in the world (e.g., "I want to understand why my relationships start off well but later make me feel trapped").

Q – Who goes to Counselling / Psychotherapy?
A – Absolutely anyone can go to Counselling/Psychotherapy, and for a wide variety of reasons. Some seek help during a crisis or with a problem they’ve been struggling with. Others go because they feel that something isn’t quite right, or for personal development and growth. Some go simply to be heard and have their story witnessed and honoured.

Q – How much does it cost?
A – €60, but this may be negotiable in limited circumstances.
